Lot of details and great lighting. It seems to be a difficult place to take photos due to high contrast between light an shadows, but you have solve it perfectly.
I think that we have the impression of deepness and the impression of beeing an "observer". Also, the people at the back make that we are curious about knowing where they go ;-)
outdoorexposure, pardon me for my boring comments. I really have no idea of what else to say other then saying "nice!". Your work have always been so beautiful and clear to the point of what you want to express.
PS: I've change my blog from http://geckoz-photograv.blogspot.com to http://geckoz.sgedulab.com :)

Very nice image...
Love the lighting....in blotches..
Great detail in the ceiling and the foreground.
Nice shot. I like the lighting....
Lots of details in both the shadoows and highlights, but the historical setting is what really makes it for me. What a cool town to expore.
Love the details, great shot!
The nice lighting on this one gives a feeling of depth.
All been said, did you think of burning the top of the stairs?
Lovely lovely shot.

Have a wicked weekened.
Great range of tones (as always ;)), and I love the way you caught the people going up the stairs. Really lifts the shot.
I agree with Dave. You managed to get details in both the shadoows and highlights. The people in the background give life to the picture.
