Nice shot. I can almost hear the wheels turning.

I absolutely love this. I imagine it is a man and his son and this is something they do regularly. The younger man hopes it doesn't rain and he brought his umbrella just in case. The older man doesn't care if it rains or not.

The b&w is great.

Lovely!

Ah, this is a sweet scene. The umbrella tightly wrapped and resting on the side of the table...they'll be here awhile.

everyone plays a sweet, litte scene in their heads....and mine thinks the younger guy is saying, "hurry up old man!"

;)

the darker guy must be a really bad player to be at checkmate at this stage of the game! good shot though.

Nice one. I like how games bring people together who might not intersect otherwise. Photoblogs too, now that I think of it.

yes a very early check mate. Ilike the little box that must have been used for these chess pieces for a long time :)

Great shot, two generations interacting. Color treatment as usual is superb

Great.
It was a cloudy day.
Intimate image, games today almost forgotten.. I believe that he favors two virtues: the humility of the victor and the kindness of the loser.^.
