The fence not only provides great verticals, but the s-curve it creates is very effective for this composition. Great shot.

As Matt says, the first thing that hits me is mthe lovely sweep in the image provided by many if the compositional elements - the water, the sand, the fence, the walkway, the buildings ...
THere are also a number of lovely textures and patterns again, water, sand, fence lines, walkboard lines, lines in the seat ...

Yes.. agreed with everyone above.. I love how the fence leads us in to what seems like what would be a gorgeous stroll! Love all the elements.. with the bench, the curves of the fence and looking way off in the distance the water with birds.. Just gorgeous!
I like your choice of including the person on the far right - it evens adds to the sense of an empty seashore.
